KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has allowed Peshawar Zalmi captain Wahab Riaz and Darren Sammy to play against Lahore Qalandars.
According to the details, a day earlier, Wahab Riaz and Darren Sammy had violated the biosecure bubble, on which both the players were sent in isolation and Wahab Riaz's participation in the first match became suspicious.
However, the management of Peshawar Zalmi requested the Pakistan Cricket Board to play a match for Wahab Riaz and Darren Sammy, which was accepted. Wahab Riaz is leading Peshawar Zalmi in the match against Lahore Qalandars today. According to the (PCB) statement, a player and official of a PSL team were sent to isolation for three days for violating the biosecure bubble.
According to the statement, the two had met a third person outside the biosecure bubble, while the two must have two negative test results before rejoining the squad.
A statement issued by the PCB said that for the Pakistan Cricket Board, the health and safety of all those associated with the HBL Pakistan Super League Six is of utmost importance, and all members involved in the event once again adhered to the Karuna protocol.
