The 18-member national hockey team was announced for the World Cup.

After two-day trials in Lahore, Chief selector, Rashiduddin Siddiqui, announced the 18-member national team for the Hockey World after consulting Ayaz Mehmood, Qasim Khan, and Mashad Hussain Hussein with fellow selectors, Rizwan Senior was retained as captain. Rizwan Junior replaced Rashid Mahmood's team.

The team comprises Mazhar Abbas, Imran Butt, Irfan Senior, Maqshera, Alam Bilal, Faisal Qadir, Ummad Bit, Authentic Arshad, Rashid Mahmood, Fantasy Abbas, Ejaz Ahmed, Umar Bhatta, Irfan Junior, Rizwan Senior, Ali Shan, Abu Bakr, Mohammad Atiq, and Muhammad Zubair. Before the final list, team management was also taken into consideration while the other day was also trialed in light rain.

World Cup begins November 28 from Bhubaneswar in India. Germany in Group D in Pakistan. Maleshia and Holland. The national team will start its campaign with a match against Germany. Pakistani team has departed November 21.
